If you have just completed your essay, you must be certainly thinking about the ways to improve your paper. What can you do in order to make your essay as good as possible? Of course, you will have to proofread carefully and edit your essay.

So, let us consider the main points that you should check up when proofreading your essay:

• Sentences. One of the most important issues that you should take into account when you edit an essays is sentence. Each of the sentences presented in your essay should sound perfectly. It should transfer the idea from your mind into your paper without lost of the meaning. However, context of a sentence is not the only thing of primary importance. You have also to express it in appropriate way: sticking to the required grammar, spelling and punctuation rules;
• General organization: When you edit your essay general organization, you should check:
- The page numbers of your essay (whether they are arranged in an appropriate order, whether they are set in the required place, etc.);
- The title page (whether all necessary elements of the title page are presented, whether they are placed in accordance with the format required);
- References (whether the references are arranged in alphabetic order, whether the punctuation in references is correct);
• Research question. Your essay paper will certainly be evaluated by how you managed to cover the topic. It means that the problem/research question/thesis statement should be disclosed completely.
