You my be very clever and intelligent student and you may know all rules of grammar and your spelling may be on the high level, but there is no guarantee that the best one won’t make a mistake. If you write serious essay, even one small mistake may spoil general impression from your essay. You may compose excellent essay according to all lows of the genre and the content corresponds to the theme, but if there are grammar and stylistic mistakes, then you may not rely on high score. Sometimes even the best students can make a mistake because of distraction or misprint or lapse.
In order to avoid sudden unpleasant surprises, it is strongly recommended to edit essay. If you have enough time, you can edit essay not after the writing but in some period of time. If you think that just after writing you are not able to notice any mistakes at all, then it is really better to postpone the process of editing. You even may edit essay next day. If you don’t have time, then it is advised to have a rest at lest during half an hour and then begin to edit essay. During these thirty minutes try to distract you mind completely from all thoughts and worries. Imagine that you are a yogi and let your brains leave your head for 30 minutes. When 30 minutes pass, you’ll see at your essay with fresh eyes and head.
